  • Water source and system. Chandler Utilities, run by the town, draws water from underground wells and treats it at a water treatment facility near the Ohio River that can pump nearly 5 million gallons a day. The system spans three townships, serves nearly 7,000 customers and has five water towers. Source

  • Softener and filter problems. Chandler's 2025 water quality report says many discolored-water and low-pressure calls are caused by homeowner water softeners or point-of-entry filters, which must be maintained to the manufacturer's specifications and fully disconnected from the house plumbing if taken out of service.   • Sewer system. Chandler's wastewater treatment facility, built in 2006, can treat up to 2 million gallons a day and serves about 4,000 customers. The town uses SCADA monitoring with alarms to help prevent sewer overflows and backups. Source
