- Water source. Haubstadt's water department says it is a purchased-water system: it buys water from Gibson Water Inc., which buys it from the Evansville Water Department, and Haubstadt does no treatment of its own; all treatment, including disinfection, is done by Evansville. Source
- 2024 disinfection by-product notice. In a public notice, the Haubstadt Water Department reported that its locational running annual average for total trihalomethanes (a disinfection by-product) was above the 80 ug/L standard as of Sept. 30, 2024; the notice said customers did not need an alternative water supply and expected the problem to be resolved with more testing in January 2025.
